I heard from my friends that Ke$ha has done a new song, so i thought i'd youtube it. I know this blog is on healthy living, but i think this song is so good and we should keep the lyrics in mind because their so true. Its Called ' We R Who We R'.
Hey guys and gals,
So i was looking around the web for any interesting things to help us, and i came by this website where they say its a kind of 'lesson'. I know, i know as soon as i say 'lesson' you lose interest because then you think about the 's' word school!! But weyhey it isnt for us lovely teens, its for our parents. So we can sit back and see our parents getting taught a lesson for once. That should be interesting :)
I'll post the link under this for you!!

The Confusing Calorie Count!!!

Right then calories; 11-14 year olds boys need 2,220 and the girls need 1,845. Whereas 15-18 year old boys need 2,755 and the girls need 2,110. There different amounts obviously, so it means we need to be careful about how many calories we consume every day, i know its easier said than done.

So basically all this means that we have to think about how many calories we're eating in a day? I know its confusing, we cant look and count every thing we eat and drink in a whole day. But we need to know when to stop and think and we could all at least try (:

Getting Active Is Easier Than You Think!!

The virgin money giving marathons are great for teenagers to really go the extra mile (literally) and do something challenging. The course is 3 miles long and you will be alongside the best new talent that Britain has to offer in road running. It is from London's Old Billingsgate to The Mall. The event is open to entrants from the 9 regions of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and will include teams from all 33 London. It is held on the 17th April 2011. For athletes aged 11-17. Or if that don't float your boat then why not get involved in other clubs like rowing, sailing, basketball, football, swimming, netball, bmx etc. Or even if you want to go down your local youth centre why not take one of your mates with you, to see what activities they are doing and also to socialize and make new friends. It doesn't really matter if your not all into sports, because you could exercise for only 60 minutes which is really simple if you think about it. There are many different exercises like running, jogging, press-ups, sit ups groin stretches and more. If you want to find out more exercises why not go online and find some more out. Or you could even ask your mates at school what clubs they go to, and if it takes your Fancy why not ask if you can go along with them next time they go.

Get Up, Go Out

For your lifestyle obviously you need to keep on exercising and doing a good amount of workout. But we've all got these busy life's with school, homework, socializing so we do truthfully put it to the back of our minds, but only an hour a day would be beneficial to us, but do try to continue for longer if you can.
I know exercise can be so boring and tiring but that's only if you pick the wrong ones, pick some that you don't mind doing, and you don't have to do anything that is way above your limits, just some simple exercises.
We all find that just doing running, sit-ups, press-ups, weight lifting etc is boring and we don't want to do them for an hour. So why not try playing fun sports like football, basketball, cycling etc, really whatever sport takes your fancy. Or popping to the gym or even jogging/running in the park will do so we don't get too stressed.
